The Marukin Soy Sauce Museum is housed in a traditional gassho-style building constructed in the early Taisho period and is designated as a Registered Tangible Cultural Property of Japan.
The museum provides an easy-to-understand introduction to the history and production methods of soy sauce using old tools and informative panels.
About a three-minute walk away, the natural brewing cellar features a gallery stage where visitors can observe the interior through windows and view the large wooden barrels from above.
